About Oh Fever

Who we are
Oh Fever (Polish: Oj Gorączka) is made by OUMM, a small software developer from Poland. We build and maintain the app for iPhone, Apple Watch and Android, and this website with its guides and dose calculators.
Why Oh Fever exists
A night with a feverish child is a blur: who gave what, and when? Oh Fever is a calm diary for those nights. It keeps temperatures and the medicines you gave on one timeline, shows how long it has been since the last dose and puts each product's leaflet at hand, word for word, with a link to the official leaflet. On iPhone and Apple Watch the app records what you gave and never calculates or suggests a dose. On Android, and in the calculators on this website, it also shows the row of the leaflet dosing table for your child's weight and age.
How the guides are prepared
- Doses come only from leaflets. Dosing figures on this website come from the dosing tables in the leaflets of products registered in Poland, as published in the Polish Register of Medicinal Products (RPL). For every product, the dosing sources page lists the leaflet version, its date, a link to the leaflet, the date we last checked it against the register, and every rule we added on top of the leaflets, with its reason.
- Medical guidance comes from published guidelines. What the guides say about fever, measuring temperature and when to see a doctor is based on the NICE guideline NG143 (Fever in under 5s), the NHS pages on children's medicines and conditions and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). The guides on vaccination and roseola also use UKHSA, the MHRA Yellow Card scheme, Poland's Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) and Medycyna Praktyczna (mp.pl). Each guide lists its sources at the bottom of the page.
- No doses of our own. We do not add doses or medical claims that are not in these sources. Urgency thresholds follow NICE and the NHS; where this site is more cautious than the guidelines (for example, contacting a doctor at 39 °C or more in a child over 6 months), the guide says so.
- The calculators are checked automatically. The calculators on this website and the Android app follow one shared dosing specification. Every time the website is built, the calculators are checked against the test cases of that specification, and the build stops if a single result differs.
How we keep them up to date
Every guide shows the date of its last update at the top of the page. When a leaflet in the register or one of the guidelines changes, we update the guides, the calculators and the apps, and the date on the page. If you spot an error or an outdated leaflet, please write to support@ohfever.app.
Not a medical device
Oh Fever (the app and this website) is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It does not replace a doctor, a pharmacist or the leaflet in the box. Always check the strength printed on the package. For high fever, any fever in an infant under 3 months, or any symptom that worries you, contact a doctor. See the terms of use and medical disclaimer.
Privacy
The app has no account and no servers of ours: your entries stay on your device and in your own iCloud (iPhone) or Google backup (Android). Details are in the privacy policy.
